TIBCO LogLogic® provides the industry's first enterprise-class, end-to-end log management solution. Using LogLogic log management solutions, IT organizations can analyze and archive network log data for the purpose of compliance and legal protection, decision support for network security remediation, and increased network performance and improved availability.

TIBCO LogLogic Log Management Intelligence 6.3.0 is a power-packed release and features 200+ enhancements. To see a complete list of new features do check out the documentation here.

Monitoring Console

Connect to your TIBCO Hawk® deployments from your LogLogic LMI appliance for a unified view of your infrastructure and applications.

With the introduction of the Monitoring Console, you can now connect your existing Hawk deployments to the LMI Web UI, starting LMI 6.3.0.  Once the monitoring console is enabled, users can access their hawk deployments from the LMI Web UI as shown below.

Using the Add Domain feature in the Monitoring Console, you can add all your Hawk domains to this UI and start monitoring your infrastructure from then and there! You now don't need to login to a separate Hawk UI to access any domains or their microagents. All the Hawk features like creating rulebases or sending data to LMI can now be accessed and performed from this integrated UI. For more details please see the Hawk product documentation.

Improved Advanced Search UI

The advanced search UI now has many new features and configurable options in addition to UI performance improvements.

  • You can now pre-select log sources you want to search from. The log source picker makes it easier to run queries without having to remember specific data models.
  • You can enable or disable the Messages, Timeline Charts, and Highlight modes using sliders. When running search queries that fetch many results, you can disable these to capture more results in a single page.
  • You can disable the content assist specific to a search tab. You will not receive any query language suggestions when this is disabled.
  • You can see the progress of a search query on top of that search tab.
  • You can see all warnings related to your search queries in a new section that summarizes warnings and notifications.
  • You can see query filters on the left pane of the search page.

Distributed Search for Advanced Queries

This feature now lets users search for data spread over multiple appliances from a central LMI. You can use the management station to configure remote appliances and run distributed advanced queries from that appliance. This makes data access easier, especially when dealing with data spread over 10s of different appliances. You can learn the details here

Distributed Aggregation Rules

You can now distribute a single aggregation rule to multiple remote appliances, using the distributed aggregation rules features. When running search queries distributed across multiple appliances, this helps in optimizing the queries.

Improved Advanced Dashboards

The Dashboard UI has a new look as well. You can now group similar dashboards and switch between the list or grid view for your dashboards or dashboard groups. You can even move a widget to another dashboard group or make a copy within the same dashboard. You can also pause loading data on dashboard widgets, while you edit widget configuration - to improve performance.

You can even expand or collapse a widget and its data source (as shown below):

New widgets are introduced to aid with creating enriching visualizations:

  • Bubble chart or Scatter plot chart
  • Variations of Gauge widgets

Advanced System Status

We continue to improve how well you can monitor the LMI appliance. There is a new widget that tells you how long before your storage will be full, based on current data ingestion and collection trend. Additionally, there are new widgets for monitoring

  • Indexed vs unindexed data
  • Size of stDataFiles, indexFiles and metaIndexFiles
  • IO statistics
  • Message routing rules
  • File transfer rules
  • Remote archival storage
  • Status of LMI Engines

Support for XML and JSON Parsers

The industry-standard XML and JSON data formats are now supported out-of-the-box. You can use these parsers to create new data models or update existing ones. To learn more check here.
