Getting an Exception: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException when attempting to connect to Sharepoint

We are trying to connect to add documents to Sharepoint, and get the following error. the account we are using has full Admin access on the sharepoint site.

 

A TargetInvocationException was thrown by the web service.

 

Exception: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Exception of type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.SoapServer.SoapServerException' was thrown.
