The complexities of API programs are increasing as organizations build internal and external APIs with smaller, cross-functional development teams in an effort to build a microservices culture. Mashery is critical for any organization that is going through this transformation as it really helps manage the distribution and consolidation of these APIs in an easy to use way that even business people can use.

0	(Prerequisite) Activate your account	Complete these steps to activate your TIBCO Cloud account.
1	Create your first API Specification	Tutorial Product Documentation
2	At this point, you can have 2 options for pushing this API definition to TIBCO Cloud Mashery.
2-1	Option 2-1 Create a mock application from your API specification and Publish to Mashery	Create a Mock Application. Publish the Application to Mashery.
2-2	Option 2-2 Create an API Definition and Endpoint directly in Mashery	Create an API Definition. Create an API Endpoint.
3	Create a Package and Plan	Create a package. Create a plan. Note: Make sure to add the API defined in step 2 above to the plan using the API Plan Designer.
4	Provide access to this API	Create an application associated with your member account. Create a package key. Note: Make sure to assign the key to the package and plan created in step 3.
5	Test your API	Using your desired testing tool (Postman, curl, etc), make a call to your newly created API. If you have configured the api_key to be a query parameter, the call will look something like this: <protocol>://<domain><path>?api_key=<apikey> https://customer.api.mashery.com/v2/demo?api_key=12345
